We spell it canadeli
by Diane
(Hurley,WI.)
My grandmother came from the "old country" her recipe is a little bit different. Hers has finely chopped salami, real bacon bits, celery leaf, parsley. The bread is prepared the same and a combination of milk and egg is used to soften the product for ball making. The broth they are cooked in is beef broth with celery, carrots, onion and soup bones. Removing all of the vegetables and meat before placing the balls in to cook.
